Life is all about change, it’s what we have always championed. We don’t believe in trying to recapture the past, or trying to de-age. Life is about growth and empowerment, which is why we’re excited to embrace our merge with sister wellness brand Life-flo®. Emerita® by Life-flo® is a collection of balance creams, supplements, and personal care products that capture the essence of both brands and will be available in one place. 

Emerita® (e-MER-ita) has been a leading brand of natural women’s wellness products since 1978. We’re proud to be women-operated, and our mission is “improving the health and lives of women”—a cause that makes us excited to come to work every day.

In the early days, we marketed natural midlife products through the Transitions For Health catalog and through physicians’ offices. The catalog even appeared in an episode of the TV show Sex & the City.

Then in the 1990s, our flagship progesterone cream, Pro-Gest Cream, was first introduced at natural food stores, launching a whole category of natural wellness products for mature women. Since then, Emerita has expanded its offerings to include intimacy, feminine care, health supplements, and more.

Emerita also has a long history as an advocate for women and proponent for education about women's health issues. We tend to make products for needs that many people don’t talk about—menopause, feminine odor, menstruation, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, sex at all ages—just to name a few. Topics like these are not always easy to discuss but these are important topics, and someone’s got to start the conversation about them.
